Eligibility Criteria to apply for CPCL Vacancy 2022:

1. Engineer (Chemical) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Chemical / Petroleum / Petrochemicals with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
2. Engineer (Mechanical) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Mechanical with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
3. Engineer (Electrical) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
4. Engineer (Civil) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Civil with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions
5. Engineer (Instrument) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Instrumentation (including Electronics & Instrumentation) / Instrumentation & Control) with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
6. Engineer (Metallurgy) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering / Technology in Metallurgy including Material Science & Engineering with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
7. Officer (HR) – Graduate in any discipline with two years course leading to Post Graduate Diploma / Degree in Human Resources Management / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Labour Welfare / Master of Social Work / Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent with specialization in Personnel Management & Labour Welfare / Human Resources from a recognized Indian University / Institute with not less than 60% Marks in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
8. Officer (Marketing) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering in either Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all Semesters / Years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions. Note: Candidates who possess additional qualification or inclination towards Marketing will be given preference.
9. Officer (ITS) – First Class Graduate Degree in Engineering in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication with not less than 60% Marks in aggregate of all semesters / years. SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.
10. Officer (Legal) – Candidate should have acquired Graduate Degree in Law / LLB or equivalent. Candidates must have secured minimum 60% of marks (or equivalent CGPA and above) in the Graduation. Candidate must have minimum 2 years of post-qualification work experience as a Law Officer in a Public Sector Undertaking / Nationalized Bank / Statutory Corporation / Central or State Government Department / Undertaking or Institution / Large Private Sector Organization / Lawyer or Advocate in a reputed Law Firm.

Salary Details CPCL :

Candidates will be appointed in the IDA Pay Scale of  Rs.50,000-1,80,000 on a basic pay of  Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) in Grade ‘A’ in Supervisory cadre, subject to medical fitness.

Besides Basic Pay, Industrial pattern of DA, HRA, Cafeteria, Conveyance Maintenance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, LFA (lumpsum) / LTC, Reimbursement of Medical expenses for Self and dependents and other benefits including Superannuation benefits would be provided according to the rules of the Corporation. The Cost to Company, including PRP, works out to about `17 lakhs per annum.

Age Limit CPCL :

The Upper Age Limit for the above post is 28 years.

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Selection Procedure CPCL :

1.Except for Post Code CPCL 10:The selection shall be made through Online Test (to be held tentatively in Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochin, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore only) and Personal Interview of the short listed candidates for assessment of different facets of Knowledge, Skills, Attitude, Aptitude, etc.The online test shall be for 120 marks of two parts viz., General Aptitude (Verbal Ability, G.K, Reasoning / Logical Deductions & Numerical Ability) comprising of 50 Questions and concerned discipline knowledge with 70 Questions. ¼ mark per wrong answer per question shall be deducted. The questions shall be objective type Multiple Choice Questions with total time duration of 2 hours. For Officer (Marketing), the discipline knowledge will be based on the essential education qualification viz. Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil.Final selection will be based on 85% of Written Test Marks and 15% of Interview Marks.Candidate must secure minimum 40% marks in Written Test and Interview separately (35% for SC/ST/PwBD)

2. Selection Procedure for Post Code CPCL 10:The selection shall be made through Personal Interview to be held in Chennai. Candidates will be short-listed for Personal Interview based on their qualification, experience and overall suitability.

Application / Exam Fees CPCL :

i. General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) as application fee (non-refundable) though Online mode using either Debit/Credit Card or through Net-Banking only. The Bank Charges as applicable have to be borne by the candidates. No other means / mode of application shall be accepted. CPCL will not be responsible for non-receipt / bouncing back of any email sent to the candidate.

ii. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application fee.

iii. SC / ST / PwBD / ExSM / Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
